West Village

A couple with two small children, found their dream apartment a block north of Washington Square Park, overlooking a row of Victorian carriage houses. The vibe in the rest of the apartment is relatively subdued, the palette mostly soft blues and grays and earthy browns with pale green accents. Wasserman focused on the interplay between pattern and texture, industrial and organic. "I like a feel that's a little imperfect," she says.

HelenBilt hand-blown fixtures provide task lighting over the kitchen Island, living in cohesion with modern and artisanal sensibilities.

The Master Bedroom needed custom pieces to reflect the palette, and Helen Gifford created the "Ostra" from an oyster shell that washed ashore and floated the hand-blown spheres via ceiling suspension for levity.
